For more than twenty years, Evangelist LaWanna Harrod was bound as a result of childhood
abuse which crippled every area of her life which caused her to become "stuck". After seeking the
Lord earnestly, she yielded to His delivering power. God delivered her and 1991 He gave her the
vision of Christian Sistahs. She was instructed to go back and get those who were bound by the
traps and lies of the enemy of abuse.
As the Founder and Director of Christian Sistahs, Evangelist Harrod is committed to the ongoing
healing and deliverance of those who are struggling with issues of abuse, past and/or present.
Evangelist Harrod is an accomplished soloist and Praise & Worship leader and published author,
who will minister where God leads her. She recorded her first solo album “For Such A Time As
This”. She humbly credits Pastor Mae Kornegay, who has since gone on to be with the Lord, for
pushing her into purpose and destiny.
The mission of Christian Sistahs is to go forth proclaiming God's Word. Christian Sistahs
proposes to minister to women in the Body of Christ, homeless women, battered women, women in
shelters and teen mothers. We have discovered that through this fellowship, women can
experience: healing, deliverance, edification and spiritual release. As we minister to God's women,
the Lord opens opportunities to penetrate and infiltrate this area that is in such need of His love,
grace and peace. Christian Sistahs are demonstrating God's love through the giving of
themselves, attitudes and their life-styles. As others see us, we pray that this will cause other to
journey to their deliverance.
Evangelist LaWanna Harrod was presented with an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity Degree on
March 12, 2009 from the Abundant Life Bible College and Theological Seminary of Port St. Lucia,
Florida.
